Modern Aviation Completes FBO Expansion in Denver

Modern Aviation, the New York-based FBO operator, has completed the expansion and upgrade of its FBO campus at Centennial Airport in Denver in the U.S. state of Colorado.

The expansion included the addition of two new heated 28 ft-door hangars, an extended ramp area, and a new Class A FBO terminal which includes a conference room with web-conferencing capabilities and eight individual snooze areas.

The US$23 million complex expansion more than doubles Modern Aviation’s presence at the airport, which now comprises a 7,000 sq ft FBO terminal, 4,000 sq ft of office space, over 52,000 sq ft of hangar space and 150,000 sq ft of ramp area.

“This development enhances our presence at Centennial Airport, one of the busiest business aviation airports in the country,” said Mark Carmen, CEO, Modern Aviation. “Our state-of-the-art FBO facility includes top tier amenities and was carefully designed with pilots and passengers in mind and allows Modern Aviation to better serve our customers today and well into the future.”

The expansion features a variety of sustainability initiatives, including four EV car charging stations, low water usage plumbing fixtures, LED lighting and LEED green certified interior finishes.

Modern Aviation currently operates 16 FBOs, 15 in the U.S. and one in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
