Q2 2026 Survey Highlights

  1. In Q2 2026, the overall level of optimism across the surveyed area rose to 86.4%, up from 70.2% in Q1. Optimism in Southeast & Northeast Asia also rebounded to 87.9%, while Greater China declined to 81.8%.
  2. Half of the respondents (50.0%) reported increased aircraft utilization during Q2, while 21.7% reported a decrease. Another 28.3% indicated that aircraft utilization remained unchanged.
  3. Purchase intentions rose for the fifth consecutive quarter, reaching 78.4%. Of which 44.6% expressed interest in preowned aircraft, while 33.8% planned to purchase new aircraft.
  4. 42.9% of respondents viewed the pre-owned aircraft market as a seller’s market, while 19.0% considered it a buyer’s market. The proportion of respondents who believed the market was balanced declined significantly from 53.8% in Q1 to 28.6% in Q2.
  5. In Q2, 55.2% of respondents expressed an intention to charter an aircraft within the next three months, a slight decline from 56.5% in Q1.

In Asian Sky Group’s Q2 2026 survey on the industry’s mood and intentions, we received more than 200 responses from business aviation professionals.

  1. Southeast & Northeast Asia (42.7%)
  2. Greater China, mainly covering mainland China and Hong Kong SAR (12.4%)
  3. Oceania (11.2%)
  4. South Asia (6.7%)
  5. Middle East and North Africa (2.2%)

Among all respondents, 50.3% represented business jetrelated companies, while the remainder were primarily involved in business turboprops (22.5%) and turbine helicopters (20.5%).

33.3% of respondents were from aircraft operators or management companies, followed by 28.0% from aircraft sales and charter brokerages and 26.7% from service providers, such as MROs and FBOs.
