Milan Linate Airport Becomes Italy’s First SAF Provider

Milan Linate Airport has become the first business aviation airport in Italy that provides sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in an effort to meet decarbonization targets.

The SAF produced by Eni is blended with 80% Jet A1 fuel and 20% fossil jet fuel made from waste oils and animal fats.

“This new milestone for SEA Prime represents an important step towards our decarbonization targets, together with the other concrete measures implemented which include the utilization of electric ramp equipment and investing in sustainable infrastructures such as the new hangar at Linate Prime,” said Chiara Dorigotti, chief executive officer at SEA Prime.

More and more business aviation operators are taking the lead in using renewable jet fuel to reduce their emissions and promote sustainability.

Milano Linate Prime Airport is a part of the SEA Prime group, a business aviation operator in Europe.
