Newly-founded Elibird Aero to Offer All-electric Flight Training

Elibird Aero, an aero tech company, was launched at Boundary Bay Airport to offer all-electric flight training in Canada.

Aiming to bridge the traditional aviation industry and green technology, the company founded by Teara Fraser will also focus on electric and hydrogen power, battery charging infrastructure, remotely piloted aircraft systems and airspace integration, among others.

The company has placed a deposit on two eFlyer 2 aircraft produced by Bye Aerospace in February 2022. The all-electric two-seat aircraft are primarily produced for flight training following four years of testing. Currently, it is undergoing Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 23 certification.

“My passion for innovating and co-creating the sustainable technology of the future in aviation and aerospace has led me to launch this new venture, Elibird Aero,” said Fraser, who launched Iskwew Air in 2019, a Canadian airline based at Vancouver International Airport.
