Dubai-based Jetex has signed an agreement with 360 Jet Fuel to offer its customers a sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) book and claim option.
The partnership aims to provide greater accessibility and flexibility when it comes to SAF usage.
The use of SAF has become increasingly important to reduce emissions in aviation, but the supply and availability of the fuel has consistently been a difficult hurdle to overcome.
Jetex’s newly launched 360 GREEN FUEL book and claim platform allows customers to procure SAF based on their overall aviation footprint, eliminating the need for individual sourcing at each location. This means that even flights departing from airports without SAF supply can still source it.
Upon purchasing SAF through this system, Jetex customers can claim the reduction in CO2 emissions and receive a certificate specifying the amount of SAF purchased and an audited statement outlining the corresponding CO2 reduction.
The agreement aligns with the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) commitment to achieving a 65% share of sustainable aviation fuel by 2050.
