Skyports has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with AirAsia to explore how vertiports can be developed in Malaysia.
This is an important step in establishing an operational vertiport network in the country
“This partnership highlights the steady progress of AAM development and interest in Malaysia and the wider APAC region,” says Yun-Yuan Tay, Skyport’s Head of Asia Pacific.
Kuala Lumpur will be the main focus of the LoI’s assessment.
The one-year partnership will also focus on joint feasibility studies on vertiport infrastructure and to identify any potential sites.
Skyports previously partnered with SITA to provide digital solutions to its vertiports.
