Milestone Leases Five S-92s to Offshore Helicopter Services

Milestone, the helicopter leasing and financing arm of AerCap, has signed lease agreements with Offshore Helicopter Services UK (OHS) for five Sikorsky S-92 helicopters.

The agreed leases include the extension of three S-92s and the placement of two additional S-92s, which are scheduled to be delivered in 2023. All aircraft are configured for oil and gas operations and will support OHS’s operations in the North Sea.

“We are pleased to continue building our relationship with Offshore Helicopter Services, having worked closely together for many years,” said Pat Sheedy, CEO, Milestone Aviation. “It gives us great satisfaction to be able to support OHS and their new parent company, Ultimate Aviation, as they expand their offshore fleet.”

OHS was acquired by South Africa based Ultimate Aviation Group, from CHC Helicopter Group in January 2023.

CHC Helicopter Group had initially acquired OHS in 2021, but following a Phase Two investigation by the UK Competition and Markets Authority, it was determined that CHC Helicopter Group needed to divest OHS. An auction process was launched, resulting in Ultimate Aviation Group acquiring the company.

“As part of our fleet strategy to meet increased demand from customers and improve airframe utilization, we have chosen to phase out first generation S92s and replace them with younger S92s. This significant deal strengthens our relationship with Milestone Aviation, a key supplier, and underlines our commitment to providing clients with the very best equipment and service level,” said Paul Kelsall, Managing Director, OHS.
