Honda Aircraft Company Delivers 200th HondaJet

Honda Aircraft Company has marked a major milestone through the delivery of its 200th HondaJet. According to Asian Sky Media’s Fleet Report in 2020, 14 of them were delivered to the APAC region.

Honda Aircraft Company began its first delivery of the HondaJet after the aircraft received its first Type Certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in December 2015.

In May 2018, the company introduced the HondaJet Elite, with an extended range of 1,437 nm (2660 km), as well as new avionics features and styling.

In May 2021, the company announced new upgrades to the design with the HondaJet Elite S, which increased the aircraft’s maximum takeoff weight by 200 lbs. New avionic features were also added to further expand operational capability and reduce the pilot workload to maximize safety.

The company also announced that the HondaJet Elite S was recently honored with the 2021 Top Flight Award presented by Aviation International News (AIN) in the New Business Jet category. The Award recognizes individuals, organizations, and technologies for excellence, innovation, and service in business aviation and its related disciplines.

The President and CEO of Honda Aircraft Michimasa Fujino stated since 2017 the HondaJet has been the most delivered aircraft in its class. His team continues to see high demand due to its outstanding performance, comfort, efficiency, and innovative design. He believes the 200 deliveries are proof of the aircraft’s superior capabilities and reliability as well as the extraordinary customer support of Honda Aviation.  The company remains committed to its customers by ensuring that the HondaJet Elite S will continue to set a new standard in business aviation.
