Jetex will refurbish and operate a new private jet terminal in Abu Dhabi under a partnership with Abu Dhabi Airports, the operator of the emirate’s five airports.
The terminal at Al Bateen Executive Airport in the capital of the United Arab Emirates is expected to stimulate further growth and expansion of the business aviation sector in the city. It will also provide luxurious experiences to passengers landing at the airport through the introduction of several private lounges once it is finished by the first half of 2023.
The airport, which has more than 60 years of history, will see Jetex redesign and further upgrade the FBO facilities, as the resurfacing and widening of the existing 3.2km runway was already completed in 2022.
“Jetex Abu Dhabi marks a milestone for our brand and confirms our commitment to the region. We are especially excited to bring the Jetex experience to the UAE capital,” said Adel Mardini, Founder and CEO of Jetex, who signed the agreement with Jamal Salem Al Dhaheri, MD and CEO of Abu Dhabi Airports at a ceremony held at Al Bateen Airport.
Abu Dhabi will become the 38th destination in Jetex’s global network of private jet terminals under the newly-formed partnership.
