Embraer and CAE have launched a new full-flight simulator for the Embraer Phenom 300E business jet, in order to meet the growing demand for business jet training in the United States.
The simulator will be operated by Embraer CAE Training Services (ECTS) – a new joint venture between Embraer and CAE, the Montreal-based aviation training provider.
The simulator is located at the new CAE Las Vegas training center, located near Henderson International Airport, and is the seventh Phenom 300E full-flight simulator globally. Other simulators are located in Dallas in the US state of Texas, London Burgess Hill in the UK and Sao Paulo in Brazil.
“Offering additional capacity for pilot training is part of our strategy to provide the best services to the market. This new Phenom series simulator is also a milestone in our long-term relationship, and we are pleased to be part of the new CAE Las Vegas training center,” said Johann Bordais, President and CEO, Embraer Services and Support.
CAE’s Las Vegas training center opened in early April 2023, and is the training provider’s first location on the US West Coast. The 50,000 sq ft facility has the capacity for up to eight full-flight simulators, of which seven – including the Phenom 300 simulator – are already in operation. CAE expects to train 2,500 pilots annually at its Las Vegas training center.
“We are very happy to see our partnership with Embraer grow with the addition of a new Phenom series simulator to our training network, and the first in Las Vegas, a strategic location for both our customers and business. With partners like Embraer, we are expanding our network and increasing capacity to meet the growing demand for business jet pilots,” said Nick Leontidis, CAE Group President, Civil Aviation Training Solutions.
Over 700 Phenom 300s are currently in operation, with the aircraft type being the best-selling light jet for the past 11 years.
