Embraer Revenue and Business Jet Deliveries Up in 2022

Embraer announced a total revenue of $4.5 billion in financial year 2022, representing a year-over-year growth of 8.2%.

The Brazilian manufacturer’s executive aviation division reported a total revenue of $1.24 billion, a 10% year-over-year increase, driven by the delivery of nine additional aircraft compared to 2021. The gross margin in the executive aviation division improved from 18.3% in 2021 to 23.4% in 2022, due to better cost absorption on higher volumes.

Throughout 2022, Embraer executive jet deliveries increased by 10% from 2021 to 102 aircraft. Of this, 59 were Phenom 300, 21 were Praetor 600, 15 were Praetor 500 and seven were Phenom 100 aircraft. 50 of these deliveries (33 light jets and 17 mid-size jets) occurred in the fourth quarter.

The group’s backlog totaled $17.5 billion, of which $3.9 billion (22%) is attributed to its executive aviation orders.

In its forward guidance for 2023, Embraer forecasts delivering 120-130 executive jets, revenue growth to $5.2 billion-$5.7 billion and an adjusted free cash flow of $150 million or better.
