Textron Aviation has rolled the 100th production unit of its flagship Cessna Citation Longitude business jet out of its factory, with delivery expected later this year.
The super-midsize Longitude entered service in 2019 and is the largest business jet the Kansas-based manufacturer produces. Notable orders of the Longitude include NetJets, who ordered up to 175 of the aircraft type in 2018, and FlyExclusive who ordered six in October 2022.
“The Citation Longitude has redefined its category with class-leading performance, efficiency and an unrivaled cabin experience,” said Ron Draper, President and CEO, Textron Aviation. “A milestone like this wouldn’t be possible without the owners and operators who love to fly our aircraft, or the extraordinary workforce that designs, builds and maintains this legendary aircraft.”
The Longitude is powered by two Honeywell HTF7700L engines and has a range of 3,500 nm (6,482 km) and can carry up to 12 passengers. The flat-floored, 6 ft tall cabin features fully berthable seats and a walk-in baggage compartment that is accessible throughout a flight.
Textron’s delivery of the 100th Longitude business jet comes after the company launched the Cessna Citation Ascend at the European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva, Switzerland. Textron also delivered the first passenger unit of the Cessna SkyCourier to Western Aircraft in Hawaii.
