By the end of 2025, of the 1,168 business jets operating in the Asia-Pacific region, 66.9% were locally registered, 13.8% were registered in the United States, and 17.7% were registered offshore. Compared with 2024, the local registration share increased from 65.9%, while the US registration share declined from 14.2% and the offshore registration share remained broadly stable at 17.7%
Australia (VH-) continued to account for the largest share of registered aircraft, with 206 business jets registered in 2025, up from 201 in 2024. Nearly all Australian registered aircraft were operated domestically, except for nine aircraft based in Singapore. Locally registered aircraft accounted for 90.4% of all business jets operated in Australia. Of the remaining 21 aircraft, all were registered in the United States, including 11 Long Range Jets.
In contrast, the number of business jets registered in mainland China (B-) has steadily declined since 2021, falling to 180 aircraft by the end of 2025, six fewer than in 2024. Mainland China (B-) registered aircraft accounted for 73.7% of all mainland China based jets. Nearly all Large Jets, Medium Jets, Light Jets, and Very Light Jets were locally registered, with only one Medium Jet and two Large Jets registered in the United States. Among Corporate Airliners, ten were registered offshore and two carried U.S. registrations. For Long Range Jets, locally registered aircraft accounted for 57.0% of the fleet, while the other 37 were registered offshore and 12 were United States registered.
India’s registered fleet (VT-) expanded steadily in recent years. The number of Indian registered business jets increased from 155 in 2024 to 174 in 2025, representing growth of 12.3%. Locally registered aircraft accounted for 92.6% of all India based business jets. The remaining 14 aircraft were registered either offshore or in the United States, including six Long Range Jets.
The number of United States registered aircraft (N) operating in AsiaPacific totaled 161 in 2025, down from 164 in 2024, representing a 1.8% decline. Among all N registered aircraft, 67.1% were Long Range Jets, followed by Medium Jets at 13.7%. Australia and Singapore had the largest numbers of N registered aircraft, with 21 and 19, respectively, followed by Japan and mainland China with 17 each.
Of the 86 business jets based in Japan, 65 were locally registered, accounting for 75.6% of the fleet. U.S. registered aircraft represented 19.8% of Japan’s business jet fleet. U.S. registration was particularly common among Long Range Jets in Japan. Of the country’s 20 Long Range Jets, 16 were registered in the United States.
Hong Kong SAR and Singapore remained among the markets with the highest proportions of offshore registered business jets. In Singapore, all business jets were registered outside the country. 57.6% were registered offshore, 28.8% carried U.S. registrations, and the remaining 13.6% were registered in other jurisdictions, mainly Australia. San Marino was the leading offshore registry for Singapore based aircraft, with 18 registrations. In Hong Kong, 73.8% of the fleet was registered offshore, led by the Cayman Islands registry with 26 aircraft, followed by San Marino with 16.
By the end of 2025, there were 207 offshore registered business jets operating in Asia-Pacific, up slightly from 205 in 2024. San Marino (T7-) remained the most popular offshore registry, with 101 aircraft. The number of San Marino registered aircraft has increased sharply in recent years, rising from 67 in 2023. Among San Marino registered aircraft, 62 were Long Range Jets, followed by 18 Large Jets.
Registrations in the Cayman Islands (VP-C) remained relatively stable, totaling 70 aircraft, one fewer than in 2024. Long Range Jets dominated the Cayman Islands registry, accounting for 82.9% of the total. The Cayman Islands registry also included seven Corporate Airliners, making it one of the offshore registries with the largest number of Corporate Airliners.
The Isle of Man (M-) registry totaled 14 aircraft by the end of 2025, one more than in 2024, returning it to the position of the third largest offshore registry. Meanwhile, the Bermuda registry (VP-B/VQ-B) recorded 12 aircraft in 2025, a decline of two compared with 2024.
Of the 408 Long Range Jets operating within Asia-Pacific, 144, or 35.3%, were registered offshore. Long Range Jets were the most common aircraft type among offshore registrations, accounting for 69.6% of the total. Large Jets and Corporate Airliners followed, representing 11.1% and 10.6% of offshore registrations, respectively. Mainland China remained the location with the largest number of offshore registered aircraft in Asia-Pacific, with 47 aircraft, followed by Hong Kong SAR with 45 and Singapore with 38.
