Lilium Partners with Diehl Aviation to Develop Lilium Jet’s Cabin Interior

Lilium will work with Diehl Aviation on the development of Lilium’s aircraft cabin and interior components. This includes all side walls, ceiling panels, partitions, cabin floor, and more.

The parties will also collaborate on developing the cabin lining of the cockpit.

Diehl will further supply the complete lighting system as well as the air conditioning ducts.

“Proven expertise in integrating cabin systems and components for commercial aircraft, and a strong commitment to the eVTOL industry, makes Diehl Aviation the perfect partner for Lilium. This agreement is fully aligned with our strategy of partnering with Tier 1 aerospace companies and we are convinced that the collaboration will support the Lilium Jet’s anticipated journey towards type certification and series production,” says Martin Schuebel, Lilium’s Senior Vice President Procurement.

The agreement is a step forward in Lilium Jet’s launch and type certification.

Lilium recently partnered with Helity to bring electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) vehicles to southern Spain.
