Eve and Zanite Acquisition Corp. announced that Zanite has filed a definitive proxy statement on FORM DEFM14A relating to the companies’ merger. The merger is expected to be completed by May 9th, 2022.
The filing of a definitive proxy statement is an important step to Eve becoming a publicly-traded company.
Zanite’s Board of Directors has recommended shareholders approve the Business Combination with Eve. This will happen in a virtual meeting on May 6th, 2022.
If approval is granted Zanite will change its name to “Eve Holding, Inc.” It will start trading on the New York Stock Exchange, with the symbols “EVEX” and “EVEXW.”
Eve recently joined a consortium to develop a Concept of Operations (CONOPS) for urban air mobility (UAM) development in the Miami-Dade area.
Global Crossing Airlines also signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with Eve for 200 electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.
