Duncan Aviation Paints First PC-24 Outside Pilatus’s Factory

Duncan Aviation has recently painted the first PC-24 outside of a Pilatus production facility. The aircraft was brought to Duncan Aviation’s full-service facility in Lincoln, Nebraska, to be repainted to better meet the style of the owner.

Repainting newer aircraft types for the first time can be a challenging process given the lack of history regarding the painting process. Repainting a PC-24 is made more challenging as the Pilatus maintenance manual prevents the use of paint chemical stripper, meaning the old paint was sanded off mechanically by hand.

“As the leader in painting business jet aircraft, we often take on the challenge to be the first to provide paint services on newer business jet models,” said Adam Beach, Completions and Modifications Sales Representative, Duncan Aviation. “It requires a trusted team to perform the additional research and planning on the front end to make sure all of the requirements for the aircraft are met.”
