The total helicopter fleet in the Asia-Pacific region reached 4,167 in 2025, representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 2.2% since 2014. Compared with 4,137 units in 2024, the fleet increased by 30 helicopters, reflecting a minor growth rate of 0.7%. In 2025, 93 new helicopters and 99 pre-owned helicopters entered the region, while 162 helicopters exited.
New helicopter deliveries in 2025 declined by 16 units compared with 2024, representing a 14.7% decrease to 93 units. In contrast, pre-owned additions remained stable, the same as 2024 with 99 units. Fleet deductions increased significantly, rising by 29 units, or 21.8%, from 133 in 2024 to 162 in 2025. In addition, 36 helicopters were transferred within the region, marking a 7.7% decrease from the previous year.
Airbus remained the leading OEM in 2025, delivering 52 new helicopters and accounting for 55.9% of total new deliveries in the Asia-Pacific region. Leonardo followed with 18 deliveries, and Bell ranked third with 17. Collectively, these three manufacturers represented more than 90.0% of all new deliveries. The top two newly delivered models were both from Airbus. The AS350/H125 recorded the highest number of deliveries at 19 units, an increase of six compared with 2024. The EC145/H145/BK117 ranked second with 14 deliveries. Leonardo’s AW139 followed with 11 deliveries, declining from 17 units in 2024 and falling from first place to third. Among the leading models, the Robinson R66 experienced the most significant decline, with deliveries falling from 13 units in 2024 to four in 2025. This decrease was largely attributable to production supply constraints affecting the Rolls-Royce RR300 engine, which powers the R66, resulting in short-term delivery limitations. Of all new deliveries, Multi-Mission helicopters accounted for three quarters, the largest share.
Of the 99 pre-owned helicopter additions in 2025, Airbus led with 49 units, representing nearly half of total additions. Bell and Leonardo followed with 20 and 12 units, respectively. The Airbus AS350/H125 and EC145/H145/BK117 maintained their positions as the top two pre-owned models, with 20 and 11 additions, respectively. The Bell 206 ranked third with nine units. Single engine helicopters accounted for 50.5% of pre-owned additions, followed by Light Twin helicopters at 26.3%. Multi-Mission helicopters represented 57.6% of pre-owned additions, while Corporate/Private helicopters accounted for 20.2%.
In 2025, a total of 162 helicopters exited the Asia-Pacific region, representing a 21.8% increase compared with 2024. Airbus recorded the highest number of deductions at 74 units, rose by 23 units from 51 in 2024, accounting for 45.7% of the total and marking the largest year over year increase among OEMs. Bell followed with 53 units, representing 32.7% of total exits. The Airbus AS350/H125 recorded 25 deductions in 2025, seven more than in 2024, replacing the Bell 206 as the model with the highest number of exits. The Bell 206 recorded 13 deductions, six fewer than in the previous year, followed by the Bell 412 with 12 units exiting the region. Multi-Mission helicopters accounted for more than half of all deductions. Offshore, Charter, and Corporate/Private helicopters each represented approximately 9.5% of total exits.
