Embraer Receives Certification for Phenom 300 Medevac Configuration

Embraer has received a Supplemental Type Certificate from the FAA and EASA for the Phenom 300MED – a new medevac interior for the Brazilian manufacturer’s best-selling light jet.

The Phenom 300MED’s aeromedical interior was developed and certified with engineering services provider Umlat, and can be configured for either one or two stretchers as well as the ability to carry an incubator and additional medical equipment. The interior also features hospital-grade trim.

The medevac interior can be retrofitted for in-service Phenom 300s, with the interior being able to be converted between an executive and medevac configuration in five hours, once installed.

The first operator of the Phenom 300MED will be Baltimore-based charter operator, GrandView Aviation.

The Phenom 300 has been the best-selling light jet for ten consecutive years, with over 640 aircraft being delivered.
