CAE Announces Vienna Training Center

Canadian aviation training company CAE said it will open a new business aviation training center in Vienna, Austria.

The center will start operating in the second half of 2024 and will have the first Bombardier Global 7500 full-flight simulator (FFS) ready.

Having launched a business aviation training center in Singapore in 2022, CAE sees Vienna as an ideal location due to its proximity to business aviation operators, according to Nick Leontidis, CAE’s Group President, Civil Aviation.

“CAE Vienna is another example of the significant investments we are making to bring business aviation training closer to where our customers operate their aircraft,” Leontidis said.

The new facility will occupy an area of 8,000 square meters and will be purpose-built to deliver the company’s training programs to meet the growing demand for pilot training in the Central European region. CAE will operate six FFSs at the first stage of operation although the facility has a capacity for up to nine FFSs and space for expansion.

The announcement was made at the European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE) in Geneva, Switzerland.

“This new center will be a game-changer for business aviation training in the region, offering programs on the region’s most sought-after aircraft platforms in an immersive learning environment,” Leontidis added.
