Bell Textron said it delivered seven Bell 407GXi helicopters to Australia in the last 12 months, indicating demand for the model “remains robust.”
With Australia being a major helicopter market with one of the world’s largest fleets, the deliveries have brought the total number of Bell 407 in the country to more than 20.
Five of the seven helicopters were delivered to Nautilus Aviation for tourism and utility flights, while the remaining two were sent to an Australian utility company and a corporate customer respectively.
The Bell 407GXi is a single-engine utility helicopter that was developed from the Bell 206 Jet Ranger. Its 3-axis autopilot received certification from the United Kingdom’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) in April. Bell Textron has produced more than 1,600 Bell 407s globally and logged 6 million flight hours across its fleet.
