Ascendance Flight Technologies, a French electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) developer, has received Letters of Intent (LoIs) for 245 units of its Atea aircraft.
Six companies have signed LoIs for Atea, and are based in Europe, the US and Asia.
“We built it around the cornerstones of our industry, which are safety, efficiency, resilience, comfort and cost effectiveness. These imperatives are at the heart of our customers’ demands and guide our innovations,” states Jean-Christophe Lambert, co-founder and CEO of Ascendance.
A full-scale prototype test campaign of the eVTOL is scheduled for 2023. Demonstration flights will also be held during the Paris 2024 Olympics.
The aircraft is expected to launch in 2025.
