Universal Adds M Jet Barbados FBO to Portfolio

Universal Aviation has expanded its ground-handling ecosystem following the announcement of a joint venture with M Jet, a fixed-base operator (FBO) at Grantley Adams International Airport in Barbados.

Universal Aviation’s subsidiary – Universal Weather and Aviation – now has 36 ground-handling locations in Latin America and the Caribbean.

“M Jet in Barbados has been our go-to ground handling partner since the day we met the team and visited their state-of-the-art facilities,” Greg Evans, Chairman, Universal said. “They’re amazing at what they do, especially taking care of customers and all details around a mission while always delivering excellent service. We’re thrilled to take our relationship to the next level!”

Adolfo Aragon, Sr. Vice President, Universal Aviation, stressed the importance of the Barbados FBO, describing it as “a very strategic addition to our network.”

Mark Maloney, M Jet CEO, added: “We’re excited to be part of the internationally recognized Universal brand around the world and all that comes with that, including industry-recognized standards, amazing culture, and customer service.”

M Jet’s Barbados FBO is open 24 hours and features on-site customs and immigration clearance. A passenger lounge, crew accommodation, and a concierge are among the other major facilities on the premises. The FBO also possesses a private apron and 36,000 square feet of hangar space that can accommodate Boeing Business Jets (BBJ) and Airbus ACJ bizjets.
