Textron Aviation received orders for business jets from fast-growing private jet operators FlyExclusive and Fly Alliance at the National Business Aviation Association’s Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition.
FlyExclusive, which also revealed plans to become publicly traded via a SPAC merger, ordered eight Cessna Citation XLS Gen2 midsize jets and six super-midsize Longitudes starting in 2024 and 2025, respectively. In April, the company placed a US$300 million order for 30 of Cessna’s CJ3+ light jets.
On the other hand, Fly Alliance placed orders for up to 20 Cessna Citation business jets. Four of the aircraft included in the agreement are firm orders, with options to buy another 16 aircraft. It will be the first time for Fly Alliance, which currently operates a fleet of Bombardier, Gulfstream and Learjet aircraft, to own Cessnas.
