Eviation Aircraft Wins Order for 30 Electric Alice

Eviation Aircraft has received orders worth over USD$4 billion from a U.K. leasing company for up to 30 all-electric commuter Alice aircraft.

The aircraft manufacturer signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with MONTE, which will provide financing and leasing solutions for Eviation’s aircraft, as well as charging infrastructure to regional aircraft operators.

In addition to this, Eviation already signed LOIs with several airlines, including the Australian airline and charter operator Northern Territory Air Services, the German regional carrier Evia Aero, Massachusetts-based regional airline Cape Air, and Miami-based charter Global Crossing Airlines Group.

Describing the USD$4 billion order as a “significant marketplace endorsement” for Alice, Gregory Davis, President and CEO, Eviation, said the leasing community has an important role to play in reducing the aviation industry’s carbon emissions. “With a network spreading from the Americas to Asia-Pacific and throughout Europe, I am excited for how MONTE can utilize the Alice to bring sustainable aviation to the world,” Davis said.

Alice is an all-electric powered twin-engine aircraft that can carry two pilots and nine passengers up to 440 nautical miles. The aircraft took off for the first time in September 2022 from Moses Lake in Washington State in the US, and in doing so entered into the history books as the first all-electric aircraft to take flight.
