Dassault Reports Strong First Half Sales

Dassault Aviation received 41 orders for Falcon jets during the first half of the year, which is more than the 25 orders seen in the same period last year, according to the company’s 2022 Half Year Financial Report. The increase comes as business travel sees recovery in much of the world this year with more widespread vaccination against COVID-19 and more countries dropping related restrictions seen last year.

The French aerospace company, which specializes in the manufacture of military and business jets, also expects an order for 42 Rafale fighter aircraft from the French Airforce next year, which will provide the group with a high level of profitability over the next decade, Dassault’s Chief Executive Officer Eric Trappier announced at this year’s National Business Aviation Association Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition.

The company plans to open a new 175,000 square foot maintenance, repair and overhaul facility at Melbourne, Florida in 2024, designed to house 18 Falcons at the same time.
