Airbus is working with KLK Motorsport and Modell-und Formenbau Blasius Gerg GmbH to develop and build the rear structure of the CityAirbus NextGen.
The ultra-lightweight rear fuselage plays a key part in making sure the airframe is flight efficient.
“The partnership with LKL Motorsport and Gerg GmbH will provide CityAirbus NextGen with a fully integrated, ultra-lightweight rear fuselage,” states Joerg Mueller, Head of Urban Air Mobility at Airbus.
Airbus is also working closely with other industrial partners to develop urban air mobility (UAM) ecosystems.
Airbus recently flew its H225 helicopter with 100% sustainable aviation fuel.
