The Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) station of Hong Kong-based Metrojet Limited has recently stepped up its Gulfstream G650/G650ER capability to 8C inspection level with the corresponding repair station approval from the United States Federal Aviation Authority, Bermuda Aviation Authority, Cayman Island Civil Aviation Authority, Isle of Man Aircraft Register, Qatar Civil Aviation Authority and San Marino Aircraft Registry.
In addition to the G650/G650ER 8C Approval from multiple Aviation Authorities, Metrojet HK MRO has received its maintenance approval from the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam for the Gulfstream G450 and Boeing 737-700 series (BBJ), up to 8C and B3 inspection respectively, allowing Metrojet to expand its maintenance services to VN-registered aircraft.
“Metrojet is dedicated to elevating our capacity continuously, to provide safe, international quality and cost-competitive options for customers to choose from,” said Mr. Dave Yip, Metrojet’s General Manager, MRO HK. “The newly added Vietnam CAAV maintenance approval also assists Metrojet to support the growth of VN-registered business jets in the region.”
According to Asian Sky Media’s Infrastructure report in 2020, aside from Gulfstream, Metrojet also holds authority to work on the Bombardier Global family, with engineers holding Pratt & Whitney, Rolls-Royce, GE, and Honeywell aircraft engines and APU type ratings.
