Gulf Shores International Airport, Alabama, has fully leased its Southwest Corporate Hangar Complex, with a leasing to Tetelestai Aviation LLC. All corporate hangar sites by the Gulf Shores Airport Authority are now leased.
The complex was initially built in 2008 and remained largely unoccupied due to the global economic conditions, but the post-Covid surge in demand for hangar space has brought increased demand for airport facilities.
The addition of Tetelestai Aviation is the ninth new facility in the Southwest Corporate Hangar Complex, adding to the ongoing construction. In total, the complex will total 129,000 sq ft of space distributed among thirteen buildings.
The airport has also announced plans for further expansion, with a study in progress to identify and develop the airport to meet the growing demand for new facility space. The master plan, co-funded by the City of Gulf Shores, will include land use planning for areas adjacent to the airport.
