Airspeeder, the eVTOL flying car racing series, has signed a year-long non-exclusive partnership with sports streaming platform DAZN.
Under the deal, DAZN will stream highlights from the first Airspeeder EXA Series Race in South Australia, along with three original series – the “Road to Flying Car Racing”, “Finding Extreme Pilots” and “Building Flying Cars”. All the content will be showcased throughout 2023.
Viewers will get behind-the-scenes access to the technology used to power the eVTOLs, the pilots flying the aircraft, and the teams responsible for the overall maintenance and performance of the electric vehicles.
Stephen Sidlo, Airspeeder’s Global Media and Marketing Director, expects the partnership with DAZN to open the door to a whole new fan base.
“We are thrilled to partner with DAZN and showcase the excitement and innovation of our new sport to a global audience. DAZN’s worldwide reach has made it the go-to destination for sports fans, and we are excited to be part of their premium sports content lineup,” he said.
“The content aims to capture a new generation of motorsport and extreme sports fans wanting behind-the-scenes action and jeopardy, and we can’t wait to show the world Airspeeder.”
Tom Burrows, EVP Global Head of Rights at DAZN, echoed Sidlo’s sentiments, saying the addition of the Airspeeder EXA Series Race and the original content series “further cements us as the ultimate destination for sports fans.”
“We are excited to bring the Airspeeder EXA series race to DAZN’s global audiences and passionate fans worldwide,” he added.
