Jay has extensive experience in the private aviation market in Greater China, having first worked for Metrojet and Heliservices as Aviation Sales Director. Here Jay developed the company's new corporate identity and worked in collaboration with Gulfstream to promote and develop aircraft sales and charter. He later became Director of Sales and Marketing for Bombardier Flexjet Asia-Pacific, where he helped to establish and build their extensive Asian charter network.
In 2005 Jay co-founded Business Aviation Asia (BAA), a business aviation Services Company headquartered in Hong Kong and Shenzhen with bases throughout Mainland China. BAA is the largest operator of privately owned business jets in Greater China. They are also the first Mainland Chinese aircraft management company to introduce western standard excellence in operations and safety, combined with unrivalled levels of Asian service; and the first to operate independently under CCAR Part 91, 135 and 145.
Jay is presently the Managing Director of SEACOR Capital Asia (SCA). He is responsible for overseeing the Company’s Asia Pacific aviation investments and business development activity. SCA is engaged in Asia Pacific based investments and business development initiatives, with a primary focus on general and private aviation and transportation infrastructure. SCA is a subsidiary of SEACOR Holdings, a global provider of equipment and services primarily supporting the offshore oil and gas, marine transportation and aviation industries. SCA’s aviation investments include Hawker Pacific, Omni Aviation, Asian Sky Group, Avion Pacific and Air Works.
In 2012 Jay established Asian Sky Group (ASG), a pan-Asian business aviation consulting group that offers an extensive range of business aviation solutions to the private aviation markets of Greater China and the Asia-Pacific region. The general manager of ASIAN SKY GROUP is Jeffrey Lowe. Jeff has over 30 years of Engineering, Marketing and Sales experience in commercial and business aviation.Based in Hong Kong since 1997, Jeffrey specializes in the Greater China business aviation market. He first came to Hong Kong as a director of sales for Asia-Pacific for the Bombardier Aerospace Business Aircraft Division. In May 2000, he was appointed regional vice president of sales for North Asia, including the Philippines, by Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation.
Jeffrey joined the recently formed Business Aviation Asia ("BAA") in 2007 where he was responsible for establishing and expanding its managed aircraft business, plus aircraft sales, marketing and project development. Under his direction, BAA’s managed fleet grew to over 30 aircraft in service, notably 22 aircraft in 2011, with most registered and based in Mainland China.
Prior to Hong Kong, Jeffrey worked in commercial aviation for the de Havilland Aircraft Company of Canada, Boeing Canada, Boeing Commercial Airplanes, the Canadair Regional Jet Division and Bombardier’s Regional Aircraft Division. He began his career as a ground test engineer and then moved into marketing and sales internationally in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
