Jay Shaw, managing director of ASIAN SKY GROUP, is also managing director for SEACOR Capital (Asia) Limited. He's responsible for overseeing the Company's Asia Pacific aviation investments and business-development activity.
With extensive experience in the Greater China private aviation market, Jay most recently ran Sea to Sky, a privately held consulting company providing business aviation services to individuals and corporations in the acquisition or disposal of business aircraft, and the set up of aircraft management and charter operations in Greater China.
In 2005, Jay co-founded Business Aviation Asia ("BAA") in Hong Kong, a fully integrated business aircraft services company encompassing consultation, sales, management, charter, maintenance and FBO development in mainland China. BAA was the first mainland Chinese aircraft management company to introduce Western-style management and operational standards together with Asian hospitality and service standards, and to obtain CCAR Part 135 and 145 operations in mainland China.
Jay also worked as aviation sales director for Metrojet and Heliservices in Hong Kong, and as director of sales and marketing for Bombardier Aerospace Flexjet Asia Pacific.
The general manager of ASIAN SKY GROUP is Jeffrey Lowe. Jeff has over 30 years of Engineering, Marketing and Sales experience in commercial and business aviation.Based in Hong Kong since 1997, Jeffrey specializes in the Greater China business aviation market. He first came to Hong Kong as a director of sales for Asia-Pacific for the Bombardier Aerospace Business Aircraft Division. In May 2000, he was appointed regional vice president of sales for North Asia, including the Philippines, by Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation.
Jeffrey joined the recently formed Business Aviation Asia ("BAA") in 2007 where he was responsible for establishing and expanding its managed aircraft business, plus aircraft sales, marketing and project development. Under his direction, BAA’s managed fleet grew to over 30 aircraft in service, notably 22 aircraft in 2011, with most registered and based in Mainland China.
Prior to Hong Kong, Jeffrey worked in commercial aviation for the de Havilland Aircraft Company of Canada, Boeing Canada, Boeing Commercial Airplanes, the Canadair Regional Jet Division and Bombardier’s Regional Aircraft Division. He began his career as a ground test engineer and then moved into marketing and sales internationally in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
Wu Zhendong is the founder and current Chairman & CEO of Avion Pacific Limited, a leader in general aviation services in China since 1993. Wu is also a current board member of TAMECO, an MRO provider in Tianjin.
A firm believer in the future of general aviation in China and an entrepreneur, Wu most recently developed a Shenzhen-based AOC company to support and manage China-based aircraft, MRO and FBO facilities in Zhuhai, and various specialty training services for pilots, both ab-initio and advanced.
Recognized as one of the pioneers of business aviation in China, Wu has imparted his knowledge and experience to numerous Western companies over the years through consulting and advisory services. Those companies include Federal Express, Mobil Oil, NBC, Exxon, Conoco Phillips and Netjets.
Prior to Avion Pacific, Wu spent a few years in the United States as president of a New Jersey-based securities broker and vice president of a California based securities and trading firm. He began his career in business aviation in China back in 1983 as the business development manager for CAAC Guangzhou Helicopter Company.
Max Buirski is a corporate vice president of SEACOR Holdings Inc., with responsibilities for the Asia Pacific region.
Max joined SEACOR in 1998 and has served in a variety of roles throughout the Company’s operations in the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. He has extensive experience in the areas of corporate finance and capital markets, logistics and support operations for the oil and gas industry, and fixed wing and helicopter leasing.
Max is a Director of various SEACOR subsidiaries and affiliates, including ASIAN SKY GROUP, Avion Pacific, Hawker Pacific, DART Helicopter Services, SEACOR Commodity Trading LLC and SEACOR Capital (Asia) Limited.
David Peng graduated from South China University of Technology with a major in mechanical and electrical engineering and a co-major in automotive. He obtained an MBA from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University with credit. David has 16 years of experience in engineering, management, marketing and sales and corporate strategic planning.
David has seven years of experience in private jet and business aviation. He has worked with Avion Pacific Limited as marketing manager and senior sales manager for the South China region. He has also taken the lead in selling the first Hawker 4000 to a PRC client.
Over the years, David has gained a thorough understanding of aircraft management. He also played a key role in helping aircraft owners in structuring management contracts, including one S-76C++ VIP helicopter and business jets.
David’s experience includes the position of general manager for a Shenzhen-based aviation export and import company, and he’s familiar with all the procedures of obtaining CAAC approvals, importation and certification process.
Since 2009, David has held the position of general manager for Shenzhen Kings Aviation, an AOC company that provides rotary and small fixed-wing aircraft. The project includes developing a business proposal, selection of location, hiring of personnel, negotiation of vendor contracts and application of CCAR Part 91.
